
The Tampa Bay Rays recalled left-hander Jalen Beeks from Triple-A Durham on Saturday and optioned right-hander Trevor Kelley to Triple-A.
Beeks, 30, was 2-3 with a 6.41 ERA in 28 appearances (eight begins) for the Rays earlier this season, making one big-league look since July 5. He’s 16-11 with a 4.42 ERA in 129 profession appearances (19 begins) in 5 seasons for the Boston Pink Sox (2018) and Rays.
Kelley, 30, was 0-1 with a 5.87 ERA in 10 appearances (three begins) for the Rays this season. He gave up 4 runs over two innings Friday in a 6-2 residence loss to the New York Yankees.
