THE HAGUE — Police deployed water cannons to disperse 1000’s of local weather activists protesting on a freeway within the Netherlands on Saturday, September 9, to demand an finish to authorities subsidies for the fossil gas business.

Greater than 10,000 individuals marched alongside the A12 freeway into The Hague, ignoring warnings from authorities to not block the key site visitors artery into the Dutch seat of presidency.

The police stated in an announcement they detained 2,400 protesters, together with minors. There have been no stories of accidents.
